Hi, I'm Jack
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in psychology at Michigan State University before obtaining two Master's degrees from Columbia University in both counseling psychology and mental health counseling.

My clinical experience has involved both inpatient and outpatient care and I have experience with a variety of topics including substance use, relationship concerns, anxiety/depression, and LGBTQIA+ issues. I am a psychodynamic practitioner but I have tailored my therapy to each client by using methodology from various theories including: REBT, CBT, DBT, Process-Based Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. I have always believed that therapy is anything you want it to be. I am there to listen and work with you on whatever goal you have whether it be feeling greater confidence while dating, increasing self-esteem, exploring or supporting non-monogamy, or if you simply want to become mindful and have more insight into your life.

I strive towards a culturally competent anti-racist approach to counseling through continuing education and professional supervision. I welcome any and all of your identities into the room and am always open to discussing any questions or concerns you may have.

As a queer man who has sought therapeutic spaces of non-judgement I have found that many clients also have a desire for, and have benefited from, open discussions about sex, dating, and relationships without having to worry about concerns of stigma. Having space for exploration and self-discovery has helped me in more ways than I can describe, and I want my clients to have that same experience.
